January 4, 2010 3:31a.m Dylan Robert Rivera was brought into the world at 6lbs 6oz 19 inches, head 34 1/2 centimeters!
December 28, 2009: Last doctors appointment before giving birth..was discharging mucus.
December 31, 2009: Feeling uncomfortable and swollen.
Jan 2, 2010 11:45pm: In bed feeling strong pinching pains
Jan 2, 2010 12:45am: In bed felt liquid stream down my leg. This was definately it, I thought to myself. However my water did not break completely so I waited until the next day to call my doctor.
Jan 3, 2010 10:50 am: I called Dr Treatman and let him know what happened the night before. He advised I go to the hospital so that I can be checked to see if my water did break.
Jan 3, 2010 1pm: Advised that my water bag ruptured and that I must be admitted and induced for labor. At this point I was not even a centimeter dialated.
Jan 3, 2010 3pm: 3 centimeters dialated.
Jan 3, 2010 7pm: 3-4 centimeters dialated.
Continued to dialate slowly...however by the time I reached 5 centimeters around 8:45 pm...I could not take the pain anymore. I called the doc in so that I could get the epidural. This was painful and I was having contractions while getting the epidural... :( After getting this medication I felt much better.
Jan 3, 2010 11:30 pm: 6 centimeters dialated.
Jan 3, 2010 12:50 am: 7 centimeters dialated.
Jan 3, 2010 2a.m: The strong contractions were beginning to come back again...
Jan 3, 2010 3a.m: Dr Treatman came into the room and told me that this was it...I had to push. I was now 9-10 centimeters dialated!....
At this point I was scared and in pain because for some reason I was still feeling my contractions even after pushing the button for my medication. Come to find out that the ivy was not injecting the medication as I was pressing the button! So now I had to deliver the baby while feeling everything. After 25 minutes (what felt like forever)of pushing harder and harder throughout my contractions....he was born at 3:31a.m!
Jan 3, 2010: Grandparents arrived to hospital at 4:10 am to see baby Dylan.
